Maxar restores Ukraine’s access to satellite images

The American aerospace company Maxar Technologies is restoring Ukraine’s access to its satellite images. This concerns the Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery (GEGD) program, informs Militarnyi.
It is noted that Maxar is restoring the accounts of Ukrainian GEGD users. This program provides access to commercial satellite imagery designated and collected by the US government.
It is worth recalling that after the US halted military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine, Maxar Technologies cut off Ukraine's access to its satellite images.
Satellite service users received notifications that access to Maxar's services had been suspended "by administrative request." According to Militarnyi, the restriction was essentially a result of a decision by the US presidential administration.
It should be added that Maxar is one of the main providers of commercial satellite images for Ukrainian users, particularly for tracking Russian troop movements. These images are also used to confirm the results of strikes on enemy targets.
US resumes aid to Ukraine
On March 5, Western media reported that the US had suspended military aid to Ukraine and stopped sharing intelligence data. Later, CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed this information.
However, on March 11, Ukrainian and US delegations held negotiations in Saudi Arabia. Following the meeting, it was announced that the US would resume the transfer of military aid and intelligence to Ukraine.
Additionally, the US proposed a 30-day ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. Ukraine supported the proposal.
More details on the Ukraine-US negotiations and the agreements reached can be found in the report.
